Humboldt County, CA

Born & Raised Free Range

Every Del Toro Farms animal is born on our free-range pastures in Humboldt County — one of California's most pristine ranching regions. The land is lush, fog-cooled, and rich with natural forage. Our cattle graze open hillsides from day one.

There are no feedlots here. No confinement. No crowding. Our animals have room to roam, graze, and live the way cattle are meant to live. This isn't a marketing claim — it's just how we ranch.

Southern California

Finished on Fodder

When our cattle are ready for finishing, they're transported to our Southern California farm. Here they're finished on fodder — a clean, sprouted grain feed grown in trays and fed fresh daily.

Fodder is highly digestible, nutrient-dense, and produced without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. It gives us full control over what our animals eat in their final weeks — and it produces beef with exceptional marbling and rich, clean flavor that conventional finishing simply can't match.

Humane Processing

Processed with Care

Every animal is processed humanely and with respect. We are committed to low-stress handling at every stage — because the way an animal is treated matters right to the end, and it shows in the quality of the beef.

After processing, the beef is dry-aged to develop flavor and tenderness, then cut to specification, vacuum sealed, and labeled. Every package is clearly marked with the cut and weight — no mystery, no guesswork.

Why This Way?

The industrial beef system optimizes for speed and volume. We optimize for quality and integrity. Free-range raising produces healthier, more flavorful beef. Fodder finishing gives us clean control over the final product. Humane processing reduces stress hormones in the meat. Every choice we make is deliberate — and you can taste the difference.
